azzinitaLast night, out of the blue (har) my faithful lappy up and bluescreened, and then died. Out of nowhere. Then absolutely refused to turn back on. Black screen. After a mild amount of panicing, the faithful lappy was taken to the Geek Squad this evening whence I started blubbering helplessly at them.
Prognosis is not good. The lappy had fallen and broken a corner at Sil's apartment two weeks ago, which might have jarred something loose, and might have fried a circuit. Which is Not Good.
So they're pulling all of my files off the lappy, and I shopped for new laptops. There's one that's not an arm and a leg, so tomorrow night when I get the final prognosis I will return with either a promise of a fixed lappy or a brand new laptop.
Argh. I say.
